Today was a disastrous day at tutorial.
Had tis stupid "Service operations management" module. Initially before we attended de veri 1st lesson, we thought it'll onli teach us how to provide good service, how to recover service failure.
who noes tis module is full of mathematical calculations! Process analysis almost killed mi. Haf to determine inventory level by finding throughput rate (such as how many guests are arriving at a hotel per day on average), throughput time (how long each guest stays at a hotel on average).
today's quiz on tis kind of question almost left mi half-dead.
after quiz, continued to do exercise question on finding "capacity utilisation rate" of a polyclinic. so many manpower hours and resource hours to calculate till i don't know if i should + - x or /. worse was calculating batch size of production. totalli alien to mi.
Looked to de gal on ma left, she was super-pro. felt demoralised. Looked to de gal on ma right, she was one step behind mi. so i felt a little relieved.
tink i'll get "C" for tis module cos am no good wif numbers. Imagine if employer see i got a "C" for "Service Operations Management," will he tink ma service skills sucks if he don't know tis module is all about mathematical calculations?
i don't know wat will become of mi when we move on to queuing model (yes! now i know queuing oso got formula), workforce scheduling and yield management.
i don't remember i'm so stupid last time. de older i get de stupid-er i become. read too much words indeed made mi stupid with numbers. Number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 0 - why are you so simple to write/say yet so difficult to understand?
