Flew to KUL and took coach up genting. Was so tired and we bumped into a long queue at the cable car station. Weather was great compared to the sweltering heat below.
Check-in at First World Hotel took ages, but was entertained by a stranger sitting at the lobby who laughed like a hyena many a times while watching cartoon channel that caught everyone's attention. In fact the hotel staff should resolve the situation immediately because it is causing unease to some guests.
Got our room finally at 6 plus and we left for dinner at Hainan Kitchen soon after placing down our bags in the room (28910). Had nasi lemak which doesn't taste very good.
Went to a park at Theme Park Hotel before returning back to room.
27 April 2009 (Mon)
Woke up at 10 plus. Had brunch at Hou Mei Restaurant. Ordered chicken breast but came chicken wings with bones. How tedious.
Went outdoor theme park. The last time i visited was with sis, many years ago, perhaps in 2004 but I can't remember.
Played pirate ships, super toboggan which messed up my hair, and a stupid simulator ride before it started to rain and we returned to first world plaza when it started raining.
Super Toboggan - it's a loner ride up, loner ride down, laugh-by-yourself kind of ride
Caught a movie, fast and furious 4, but we left halfway because the movie just bored me to death and the theatre was freezing me.
Returned to the theme park, sat on the caterpillar monorail which took us on a joyride around the theme park. Then played cyclone - the roller coaster - indeed a hair "raising" experience, because my hair totally got even messier and standing on ends. Maybe I had a bad hair day, should have applied double layer of wax.Cyclone
Started raining again and we returned to room for nap.
Had dinner late at about 9pm at Pizza Hut. Was so hungry. Ordered garlic bread, hawaiian chicken pizza, spaghetti and spicy chicken wings. Ate till very full. Went to Theme Park Hotel's park again, and on the way 2 malay police came to 'our' assistance, to help out 2 Chinese tourists who lost their way. Apparently the couple being old china can't speak English, so I explained in Mandarin the direction to their hotel - First World Hotel. I thought they would then be able to return safely.
After half an hour later, I bumped into them upon coming out of the toilet at Resort Hotel! Got a shock. Resort Hotel and First World Hotel are located at 2 far ends. So I decided to escort both of them back to the hotel. They were from Guangzhou and the next day would be going to Singapore for 1 night. I thought to myself: "Just 1 night? Hmm yah hor Sg really like much to see anyway." When we parted, they shook my hands and thanked me profusely. Surrounding people were looking at us. But I felt happy because the worried expression on the old lady's face had turned into a happy one! I think I could consider being a PR la. Cos I chatted along the way to distract them and assured them that they will get back to the hotel safely. They even said how come I know how to speak Mandarin.
Anyway, we then went to starbucks at highland hotel. Had passion tea. A group of people were celebrating a friend's birthday beside us. Got this gal who hide the cake in her bag. I thought to myself: "Wah power! First time see people keep the cake in the bag." When she took out, one side of the cake got destroyed HAHA. So funny was her expression, "Why like that!" Duh!
28 April 2009 (Tue)
Woke up at 8am. Had buffet breakfast at Coffee Terrace restaurant in Genting Hotel. Ate kway teow, muffins, ham, baked beans, sausage, cornflakes, fried egg with orange juices. Got many other courses, but I was full already.
Bought cafe latte, iced coffee and spritzer mineral water from The Bakery. Just these 3 items cost RM22.50, a little more than the buffet breakfast (RM20.60).
Checked out from hotel at 1030, took cable car down, bus to KL Sentral at 1130. Went KLCC walk walk before flying back.
Reached home at 6.30pm.
