Genting, KL, Malacca 05-06 Dec 09

Each time ken drove, sure kena sway encounters. People horn never mind. Kena stared by 1 driver in kl somemore.

When driving down hill on the last day from genting after our lunch, got 1 driver behind horned at us. We thought wat's wrong again this time round... Who knows when we turned back, we saw the boot cover was not closed! *I forgot to close the boot after taking some stuff out from my bag* No wonder why we could feel some wind inside the car even when the window was closed. LOL.

That was the most amusing incident thoughout the whole trip. Ken was like kan cheong spider. Stopped along the expressway and sc went down to close it. Everione juz pushed de blame to him, despite being my fault lol. But true mah, driver can't expect passengers to conduct safety check. Imagine if de cargo of an airplane oso din close. Pilot can expect passengers to check meh? Whahahaha.

Set off at 0430 on 5th December, via tuas, chiong all the way to kl.

Drive up genting was super challenging. First time I encountered such heavy fog. Still, I got everione up the mountain safely.

Imagine if mother knows tat I drove up, she'll scream at me. So this is my "Hong Kong" which I lied to sis initially haha.
Went casino, ken and I then slack at a cafe... when all's ready, we took a joyride on de cable car. Wanted to go ride horse at awana horse ranch, but was closed. Returned uphill and off we drove to our hotel for the night - Goh Tong Hall Residence - a newly-built hotel at chin swee temple, mid-hill.

Went down to KL, had dinner at Berjaya Times Square, walked around Bukit Bintang, before hitting for Zouk! Intially the dance floor was empty. Thought we would be disappointed. But the crowds came later.
Unfortunately, we gotta leave early at 0130 because we're staying at Genting. Road uphill was tormentous. Driving in near zero-visibility condition due to fog.

Reached hotel at abt 0330. Slept at 0400 plus...

Set off at 1200, for KLCC, where I bought a book from Kinokuniya titled "The Kite Runner" written by Khaled Hosseini, the same author of the book "Thousand Splendid Suns" where I bought during ma trip in Kuching in July. This author can really write veri well!

Onward to Malacca, had dinner before returning home. Reached home at 0000 hrs today. Tired. Nevertheless, this was de best Malaysian trip I've ever taken... also partly because everione was participative n cooperative =P But in de end, I juz enjoy being a passenger, rather than a driver, cos I enjoy being driven more than to drive humans.

Exam's over! So happi... Gonna be a 1 month vacation before school reopen on 11th January 2010.

System down

Since yesterday I'm about to suffer from system down, almost beyond repair due to flu and sore throat. Yet I could still patronise the cinema with dearie, watching a somewhat horrible movie - christmas carol. I still prefer the Midnight Express anytime.

Have played the role of a physician, popping lemsip pills on the one hand, chinese medicine on the other. Thought "east meets west" concept or 中西合拼 would do me well but did not turn out to be the case.

Seen doctor today and condition was slightly better, but now suffering from cough. Hope I won't cough blood onto my final paper this coming friday.

Flu chase

Woke up today with a runny nose, like a never ending river flow. Must be the fault of one asshole sitting next to me in centrepoint's starbucks yesterday who was blowing his nose away like there's no tomorrow. Kc at that time was again complaining over the phone with singnet. I've not seen anyone as power and nasty like him, and I could only say to him: "Next time you better don't work in service line, you'll get retribution."

Only after an hour did I suggest to relocate to orchard central's quiznos, as that asshole continued on his "blowing" repetoire.

Anyhow, today I landed at the wrong place for revision. Parkway's starbucks was so noisy such that I could not concentrate at all. Kc was adding on to the already noise-polluted environment by playing his japanese language audio over his laptop. In the end, I have to start off my nagging symphony before he switched to silent mode.

Then came a china girl asking for help with wireless, and in the end we chatted like there's no exam for me to sit for tomorrow.

Not that I am interested in the girl, but because we have a common topic since we're both studying tourism and hospitality. She's here for a 2-year work attachment in Shangri-la hotel, been here for only 10 days and felt Singaporeans are friendlier than her counterparts back home. Environment is also conducive compared to Chengdu where she came from, and where I've visited once.

It was none the wiser for me to subsequently shift my base, and ended up studying at kc's catholic church within the vicinity. I am a Buddhism, so I hesitated a little initially but decided to keep an open mind. Who knows Mother Mary will also bless me for tomorrow's paper. I still remember years back I have thought of worshipping two religions concurrently, and form a new religion called "Buddhianity" - which literally means Buddhism + Christianity.

If only I could study at Kuan Yin Temple in Waterloo Street, so that I could also ask Goddess of Mercy about my love, luck and fate at the same time.

And if I have set up a business, I guess I would have diversified to many locations. By going about with my study regime, I have already diversified to so many locations - Changi Airport (still the best), Raffles City, Centre Point, Orchard Central, Parkway. My goodness, if the exams aren't gonna end any sooner, I will die sooner or later.

In total exhaustion now. Shall collapse onto my bed soon.

Damn unlucky

Watched Ninja at marina square yesterdae, before heading to the airport to study. Slept well the last night but....

... today just isn't my day, at least for this afternoon.

I reached macdonald's in Terminal 3 and as I happily flipped over my black file, my happiness was short-lived and turned into a nightmare. I brought the wrong file! Instead of bringing along my service operations module's file, I brought along research methods' file, the disastrous module which I recently sat for.

Immediately I recounted the incident at long john silver in centrepoint two days ago while I was having my lunch there. One female staff was sweeping the floor, very near to me, and in front of Ang Ku Kueh. I thought she would be careful enough not to sweep onto my leg, and gosh!!!, I almost jumped out of my seat and gave a super hard stare at that female staff when the broom kissed my right foot. Indeed very sway.

In the end, I gotta rush home to bring the right file, and I've covered the distance that I'm supposed to cover only tomorrow. Walking once a day from tanah merah station to my home is still tolerable. But to walk twice is torturous. Plus I've told myself not to dispense my energy unnecessarily given the fact that I'm now underweight. Who knows it was a cardio exercise for me today.

In an attempt to calm myself down, I told myself the following:-

1) May be there will be a suicide bomb at Macdonald's if I were to remain there during the time period that I was away (but oh no! my fren a.k.a. "water closet" is there LOL)

2) It taught me to check through everything the next time, be more cautious (thank God I did not encounter this incident during an open-book exam)

I was back in Macdonald's for the second time after about an hour, and despite the above self-talk, the first thing that I said to water closet when I sat down was:-

"I'm still very angry!"

Ang Ku Kueh, ang ang...

The world is soooo small, or more specifically, Singapore.

Was having lunch at long john silver in centrepoint. Came a man sitting down beside me. On closer scrutiny, I realised it was "ang ku kueh," or mr ang from ma sec sch. Wanted to call out to him, but hesitated cos he surely wun recognise mi, cos i looked different compared to 10 years ago when i was in sec 2. Last time was fat like a pig. now ppl thought I'm down with some terminal illness. come to tink of it, 10 years later i'll be 34. die... drop in demand.

Aniwae I still remember him being the discipline master caning mi before. 2 strokes down my backside facing up. In fact it was a mass caning cos of cheating in test. Not because I cheated during that test, but because I passed my answer script down the row for others to "view." Fortunately my caning wasn't pain, otherwise it'll be like ang ku kueh, ang ang?

Then, while I was at starbucks, he came as well. This time with a coffee and a slice cake. Similarly, I did not go up to him, although I wanted to. He then left...

Had dinner, minced meat noodles, only 3 bucks. Think it's de cheapest of all in orchard.
Later we walked down orchard to see the lights. Very de nice...

Inside de x'mas tree

Compared to de x'mas decoration tat I saw in terminal 3... i tot chinese new year is around de corner. maybe it's de company's strategy to reuse, recycle... can be used all de way up till end of february 2010.

Wished ma bestest best fren nb happi bdae... Got de following reply which realli brightened up my day, although it's night time now:-

"Tts the sweetest thing mel, tts wat i luv abt u, ur promises to be alws there for me. Cos i completely believe them. Tk u my dearest fren!"

And I totalli remember tat we'll still have each other when we're left on the shelf next time when we get old. lol! But no longer for display by then.

D-day

Why d-day? D for disaster, D for dead. Woke up at 0600 feeling super lethargic. Energy-less due to poor sleep quality. Too stress for today's paper on research methods. Sigh.

Reached school and in an attempt to keep myself awake, bought a cup of hot coffee. Gulped it down like a fish cos paper's starting in 10 minutes' and the venue was a distance away. In the end felt sooooooo hot and sweat profusely.

Came to this particular hall, Hall D, where I sat for my japanese paper yesterday. Then realised my hall isn't here. Mine was Hall E. So I gotta rush again!

Paper itself was a disaster. Mental block for almost all questions, despite having revised for umpteen times. Caffeine-intoxicated again, due to the stupid coffee. Am not sure what else can I do.

- no coffee, sleepy
- coffee, nervous shock

Sleep? Argh! Insomnia. The thought of going to bed at 10pm yesterday but not being able to sleep well irritates me to the max!

On the train home had a bad headache. Journey from pioneer to tanah merah seemed unending.

Am so tired now, but can't sleep. Countering "sleep" is now a phobia to me.

Stomach bloated

Did ma revision at starbucks in raffles city. Nb came to accompani study even though she's not having exam. So she read her own story book. Am sooooo touched =)

Super noisy but fortunateli i could concentrate with dearie's mp3 fixed onto ma left n right ears, blasting at maximum volume.

Had dinner at an indonesian restaurant in marina square. advanced bdae treat for ma dearest gal. eating part was enjoyable. but not the after-effect. ma indigestion problem is causing mi so much agony. took 4 tablespoon-ful of antacid oso no use. drank green tea helped a little only.

Reached home at 8 pm and continued studying.

Tomolo gonna study at airport b4 meeting dearie for supper. Yeah!
