October ends

Ytd after class met up wif dr. Went marina square and saw tv host guo liang filming a show on business review inside topman . Somehow I really admire people who are free-flowing with their conversation when in front of the audience and/or camera. Good presentation skills, exuding self-confidence, are so hard to develop seriousli.

Went dinner at chinasquare... drove past the car park and saw a few cars valued at more than the price of my humble (if not dilapidated) house. Later at dr's carpark saw even more, belonging to the same owner.

BM and Meserati - plate numbers were de same; besides these 2 still got 1 more bm, mercedez n bentley

I dun even noe if i'll get de chance to own 1 even in ma next life... realised those who own such cars r either owning a business or managing director of big companies. now i am having a mixed feeling on whether i should go into service line.

Few daes back mum told mi to consider carefulli. she asked if i'm willing to kowtow to people if i were to enter de hospitality industry. Ma passion is to seek for fun element in a job, cos i dread doing something which i dun enjoy. yet while chatting with dr ytd, he said tat de most important thing is 不能没有钱, drawing upon his conflict experience within his family. our society is so materialistic. i believe without money, we can't do anything much. everithing feels so constrained. even though i feel it tis way, ma bank balance is approaching zero dollar when i'm oredi so old at 24? remarkable huh? haha...

i think teachers are to be blamed as well, for instilling materialistic doctrines onto students. Still remember most of ma teachers said: "without a good paper qualification, you can't go anywhere." Is it really true? Now even though I am on ma way to havin tat piece of toilet (business) paper, i still dun see tat i can go anywhere far in de future. Life isn't meant to be complex. It is de human mind (or de "thinking faculty") tat is complex and hard to tame. And anyhow, it is enough of ma nonsensical blabbers for now...

Moving on to todae...

Todae ma deary kc seriousli embarrassed mi while we were at de clubhouse tat sells no-pork, no-lard food, with a few muslim patrons.

Kc came to de counter and said to de stall attendant: "1 sweet and sour pork!"

I totalli flustered n gave an apologetic look to the stall attendant who might be muslim from de way he looked... damn embarrassing can! although i had a great laugh as well, which was a good way to end ma saturday nite.

it's halloween nite. but i should guai guai stay home tonite cos i din get to revise ma notes ytd and most of todae. Sian lah!

Julie and Julia

Spent most of ma time at de airport over de weekends mugging. Ylla came to find us on sat. from t1 we shifted to t2 to t3 and back to t2. Thank god ma bag got wheels. if not i'll be shorter by another inch carryin (1 x laptop) + (1 x big file) + (1 x umbrella) + (1 x water bottle) + (1 x plastic bag) + (1 x wallet - $).

Ytd met dearie for movie at ps. watched julie n julia. was veri nice. although halfway thru i almost dozed off.

tis daes super tired. keep havin headache due to stress.

am at de airport now n gonna start ma revision.

Gargantuan appetite

Had a brain draining day in sch today. 6 hrs straight of doing math isn't a joke.

Went orchard alone, hopefulli can hunt down good buys for sis' wed... either "too expensive" or "cheap but no size." Sad can...

Saw ION putting fireworks coz it was their grand opening. It was supposed to be spectacular, but I was blocked by endless row of tropical trees coz I was at Lucky Plaza there liao.

Took bus 36 to airport.... met up wif dearie.

Went supper at a coffeeshop near ma place.

Intially stomach wasn't feeling too hungri coz was tired. Who noes dearie order a 12 bucks plate of hokkien mee! Not onli was it a supper now, but it will be for ma breakfast tomolo as well. Nevertheless we finished it and this has also proven ma gargantuan appetite.

Going to bed at 3am, 2 hrs after eating.

SIA/Changi clubhouse

Had group presentation on tiger airways tis morning, and felt happi when it was over. although still got an individual presentation on banyan tree, and many more other presentations.

wc who's off tdy came to find mi, n we gone soaking in de pool at src beside hall 6. he who has tresspassed! shower room is under renovation in preparation for next year's YOG cos ntu will be de host? we had a one-piece fashion parade from the pool, all the way to the other end of the carpark to use fitness hall's shower room. walking barefooted on pebbles was torturous. cant wear ma black formal shoes on cos i'll look funny.

went airport n wc brought mi to SIA clubhouse at T2, for sia's employees' usage only... wonder if changi airport staff can use it cos seen a few, but maybe friends of SIA employees? 1st time i saw a badminton court, tennis court n gym in de airport. can go outdoor too. too bad no pool.
had dinner b4 returning home..

I still remember badminton was one of ma fav sports in primary sch; during sec sch teacher forbade us to play which i dunno de reason.... in de end din get much chance to play

I hate de gym cos carrying weights are a torture... i'll hit for the treadmills though

Finalli got a full day break away from school work on sun... but it's over for now.

met ryan at ion orchard... finalli got a shirt n tie from topman... tink i wanna school uniform-look haha. two pockets at ma chest tat resembles ma sec sch uniform.

watched 500 days of summer at cineleisure... romance story? it was nice, but i viewed it with 100% skepticism. personalli i tink romance story practicalli puts people into an unrealistic thought situation. i find maself like de lead though, almost owaes unprepared to get into a r/s. but de show is definitely worth watching!

ken later met up together wif louis. thanks for helping mi to find a pair of leather shoes... although i dun realli see the point to buy one juz for ma sis' wedding occasion. i'll rather channel the 150 bucks into buying a fred perry's or zara's shoes.

had dinner at far east plaza before brian picked mi up for a swim at his place... swimming wif a full stomach isn't easi at all. thank god i din drown.

I juz doesn't look rugged enuf to undertake such painting job. so am of no help in tis aspects. i don't mind $50 per hour though, minimum hour of 4.

On mon was at T1 full day doing project using ma stupid laptop, where de batt died on mi so fast. Forgot to charge it de night before. as i overlooked de departure hall from above, saw so mani ppl gonna take a flight. somehow i got de urge to fly out as well, but still gotta wait till december. kc n i were like practicalli dreaming although we still got a thick textbook in front of us, yet planning for next year's trip probably to bangkok cos i miss it soooo much! but if onli air tickets are 0.01 cent? we were totalli reminiscing our chiang mai trip back then with sc... took tat elephant ride which scare de hell out of mi. don't even noe elephants with their big legs could climb treacherous mountains.

Spent ma full day at de airport yesterday as well.

Food Glorious Food

Guilty feeling of not touching ma books juz can't get over mi... so i spent almost a full day studying at de airport wif ken. got a shock when i saw ken taking a stack of A3 papers from de kid's drawing corner at de airport. since he got so much, i helped him use oso?

decided to make ma notes as colourful as possible. Red n green markers, blue pen, orange, purple and blue highlighters. Somehow I like reading ultra colourful notes, jus like how I enjoy varieties in ma life? when it comes to buying mixed vegetables rice, I oso make sure got 3 distinctive colours (tat's y i dun like wat mum buys for mi. usualli de dishes she select are steamed meat (gray), steamed fish (gray), cabbage (white). Oh my!) Tink i'll haf de flashiest notes during exam cos it's open-book? i juz dunno how some ppl can study notes tat are purely black n white. it'll put mi to sleep by juz reading 1 sentence alone.

Reached home at 10 plus. Rested before having supper wif dr at east coast park, at 0100! Tat's realli sinful. But can't help when I am understress, and i realli wanna put on a little weight.

I had de remaining half plate of wantan noodles, which ought to be ma portion for tomorrow's breakfast.

Nevertheless, I muz eat more. Cos ma BMI onli 18 now!

dr told mi researchers haf conducted various eating hours on mice to see what hours will result in the fattest mice. Indeed it was supper time tat yields that fattest mice! Poor mice though.

Now I gotta stay up for the next hour since I have not fully disgested.

Todae on de train to school i came to realise i forgot to bring ma ic out. todae haf to bring ic cos nid to exchange for airport pass. in de end i onli met jojit n sh for a short while before i returned home. to think tat prof henderson was jus saying ytd tat i have to "cross the country" everidae since i dun stay in hall.

reached home n gone out again. met all up at t3. i tink de SAC simulator was interesting. Tis is where dey test the food quality at de same altitude n pressure as an aircraft. Cos tastebud tends to be different in the air compared to "on ground."

met up wif av for dinner at citi hall, so gotta miss dinner wif ma thm mates. gone shopping for peacoats for sis' coming wed. saw one from topman @ 189 bucks. But sleeve length was too long? Cos am too short? LOL.

I mms de pic to sis n she said i looked like a flasher! but i feel like buyin one, aniwae it might come in handy if i ultimateli go beijing tis year end or next jan? still rem i had to wear 4 layers of sweater (internal) plus 1 external jacket during ma trip there in december in 2007. yet i still felt cold.

Shall continue on ma hunt over de weekend. it's long weekend, ultra happi!
